Rafael Miranda Huereca (Ph.D.) studied in The Netherlands, Spain and Mexico. He owns a highly personal set of techniques that he uses to create electronic and concert music, video art, cultural studies and literary-film critique. His catalogue ranges from the large orchestra to electro-acoustic pieces for ensembles, from stop-motion to collage and live action in film. His highly critical stance transgresses the established world of ideas, as he attempts to debunk every cultural fallacy by means of what he dubs "cognitive art". Miranda-Huereca even launched the so-called "Braindead Manifesto" for the arts in which he tries to institute a type of art that focuses on transcendental topics rather than indulge in senseless attempts to amend our social plight by substituting one lie for another one.
